Damaged Credit Credit Card Applicants Have Hope!
It’s amazing how difficult it is to qualify for any sort of loan or credit card if you have bad or damaged credit. And it’s difficult to rectify past credit wrongs without reestablishing new credit trade lines such as credit cards or loans. It can seem like a no win situation for many individuals in this state. However, just establishing one new trade line can help to rapidly boost your credit score and rating. And there are several new credit cards out there that are designed for people with damaged credit.
One of the best is the First Premier Bank Gold Card. It’s relatively easy to qualify for to begin with. Most importantly it reports monthly to the major credit bureaus so you can be sure that as long as you make your minimum monthly payment each month, your credit is improving. The annual APR is equivalent to this sort of “introductory” level credit card at about 16% APR, however with time you will be able to qualify for a lower rate with another credit card as long as your are consistent with your payments. You really have nothing to lose in trying to get this card because it only takes 60 seconds to know if you qualify. Remember, this card is designed for applicants with damaged credit so just because you might possibly have been turned down by other credit card companies doesn’t mean you will be shut down by First Premier. That phone call could be your first step towards repairing your credit and qualifying for the credit card you want and deserve!

Build or rebuild a solid credit history
For many individuals with damaged or bad credit, there can be few options when it comes to the world of credit cards. Even the cards that are marketed towards individuals that fit the damaged credit profile are often not offered in scenarios where the credit scores or history are too low. A good option is a secured credit card like the Bank of America Secured Visa Credit Card.
This card helps you establish a credit history and demonstrate a positive repayment history for people with bad credit. You can deposit between $300.00 to $10,000.00 into a Bank of America security deposit account. Then your credit line will directly reflect the amount of your deposit. You can make purchases with your card up to the amount you have in your account. As long as you make the minimum payment before the due date each you credit should increase. Keep in mind however that your security deposit doesn’t cover the minimum payments each month; those have to be made. Then based on your credit and payment history with the secured card, you many qualify for an unsecured credit card with Bank of America at a later date.
There is a small annual fee of $29.00 and a $4 fee for balance transfers but that is a small price to pay for repairing your credit. Additionally the card comes with all the benefits and protection of an unsecured Bank of America credit card. Its nice to know that there are options out there even for those of us with bad credit.

Can a Credit card replace a bank account? It takes a special Credit Card, but it is indeed possible.
Can a Credit card replace a bank Account? It takes a special Credit Card, but it is indeed possible.
Kristine C. contacted us. She and her husband are suffering the consequences of the snowball effect of her being laid off and his long illness. They got behind with some bills and their credit and finances are in such a bad shape that they’ve seen all of their credit card accounts closed. When their checking account was closed as well, they had to resort to check cashing services to cash the husband’s paycheck, and to to the Post Office to get money orders to pay their bills. But such a system is both time consuming and expensive.
Kristine C. was asking if we knew of a better way. We didn’t.
But after some research, and emails to our network of friends and spotters (some of them are real cheapscapes and know all about money and how NOT to spend it), we got wind of a Credit Card that claims to be better than a bank account.
